The Universal Pin Table is a convenient modular fixturing solution designed to increase the cutting quality of materials such as acrylic and wood by minimizing material defects caused by laser back reflection.
When cutting acrylic, wood or other sensitive materials using conventional laser cutting tables, laser energy can reflect off the table into the underside of the material and cause defects and imperfections, a phenomenon known as back reflection. The Universal Pin Table corrects this with repositionable aluminum pins that suspend the material above the table surface, ensuring that any laser energy reflected back onto the material is too diffuse to have any effect. The Universal Pin Table itself is also designed to absorb laser energy, providing an extra layer of protection against laser back reflection.
