UNIVERSAL
LASER SYSTEMS ANNOUNCES VERSALASER AVAILABLE IN 10-WATT
CONFIGURATION
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (March 31, 2005) Universal Laser
Systems, Inc. announces the introduction of the new 10-watt
VersaLaser. From the company that revolutionized the laser
engraving industry by introducing the first compact and affordable
laser system in 2002 comes the 10-watt VersaLaser with a 16"x12"
engraving table size, an optimum configuration for lower-power
applications.
VersaLaser is the Multi-Material Peripheral, a computer-controlled
CO2 laser engraving and cutting system that functions like
a printer from Windows-based software programs, like Microsoft®
Word, CorelDRAW!®, AutoCAD®, Adobe® Photoshop,
and BarTender® label-making software. Introduced in 2002
in a 16x12-inch table size with 25-watt laser or 24x12-inch
table size with 30-watt, 40-watt, or 50-watt lasers, VersaLaser
can cut and engrave wood, paper, fabric, rubber, and plastics
and etch on hard materials, like glass and ceramic, even metal
(with marking compound or special optics). VersaLaser has
a friendly materials-based print driver that makes it easy
to operate, thus reducing the learning curve for new users.
Likewise, the new VersaLaser 10-watt is easy to use and is
ideal for applications such as engraving on organic materials
(plastics, wood, Mylar®, leather), etching on anodized
aluminum and coated brass, and cutting paper and fabric. "This
new VersaLaser is particularly useful for new retailers and
companies in the awards, embroidery, and craft industries
because of its low initial investment and upgradeability to
25 or 30 watts at a later date. It s a brilliant, money-saving
and money-making addition for all kinds of businesses,"
claims Chuck Bosnos, Sales Manager for North America, South
America, Central America and the Caribbean at Universal Laser
Systems. "At only $7,995, the VersaLaser 10-watt is also
an inexpensive alternative for architectural firms that outsource
model-making and prototyping. It will not only save time and
effort, but will also reduce costs," Bosnos adds.
