The ILS12.75 is our largest and most versatile platform. Engineered specifically for manufacturing environments, it can handle applications ranging from prototyping to automated manufacturing.

The ILS9.75 platform is designed for laser material processing in a wide variety of production environments. Flexible enough to be installed as a standalone system or integrated into an automated manufacturing line, the ILS9.75 is an excellent choice for no-tool prototype production and is also used in research and development facilities around the world.

The PLS6MW Multi-Wavelength Laser Platform uses multiple laser wavelengths to process the broadest possible spectrum of materials. The PLS6MW is built on Universal's patented Rapid Reconfiguration technology, so changing laser wavelength is as easy as changing the laser source and requires no tools, optics changes or software reconfiguration.

The PLS6.150D with SuperSpeed platform is designed and engineered for applications requiring high speed and maximum power flexibility. The PLS6.150D comes standard with SuperSpeed and Dual Laser Configuration. SuperSpeed was developed primarily for raster image applications.

The PLS6.150D is the same size as the PLS6.75, but features Dual Laser Configuration for increased laser power when you need it. The PLS platform delivers exceptional cutting, marking and engraving results for users who need both high speed and high quality.

The PLS6.75 is a free-standing platform designed and engineered for light manufacturing operations and batch production. The PLS6.75 can accept all Universal laser cartridges for a power range of 10-75 watts.

The PLS4.75 is a free-standing single laser platform designed for multiple-material processing applications and small scale production. The PLS4.75 can accept all Universal laser cartridges for a power range of 10-75 watts.

The largest in the VLS platform line, the VLS6.60 has a wide and deep engraving area that can accommodate a variety of materials. The VLS6.60 offers a choice of six laser cartridges ranging in power from 10-60 watts.

Universal’s VLS4.60 is a free-standing platform offering a spacious work area and the ability to quickly adjust laser power with our patented Rapid Reconfiguration. Designed and engineered for light manufacturing and prototyping, the VLS4.60 is a single laser platform that offers a choice of six laser cartridges ranging in power from 10-60 watts.

The VLS3.60 is a free-standing platform designed to be the ideal entry point into light-duty manufacturing. The VLS3.60 is also installed in many educational institutions around the world for architecture, product and graphic design, and materials research programs.

The desktop VLS3.50 is small enough to fit on a work surface yet powerful enough to meet the requirements of on-demand production. Used frequently for educational purposes, the VLS3.50 is also a great choice for starting your laser business.

The desktop VLS2.30 is a compact and economical platform designed to be an entry level laser machine for starting your laser material processing business. The VLS2.30 is well suited to prototype development and on-demand production and also makes a capable second machine to handle production overflow.

We offer 12 platforms. These platforms have been developed to allow for expansion and flexibility as your confidence and capabilities grow. We have provided a Laser System Configurator that will aid you in selecting a fully customized laser platform that meets your needs.
Nearly all of our platforms are designed for Rapid Reconfiguration™ which gives you the ability to quickly replace one laser cartridge with another of a different power. This Uniquely Universal feature is only available from us. The following broad guidelines can be used to help you with your laser power selection.
The PLS6.150D, PLS6.150D (with SuperSpeed™), ILS9.75 and ILS12.75 are all engineered for Dual Laser Configuration. These machines give you the ability to merge two independent laser sources into a single beam for additional power and flexibility.
This feature was developed primarily for raster image applications and requires Dual Laser Configuration. This innovation pulses the two lasers independently, allowing for two lines of a raster image to be marked simultaneously. For vector cutting, the lasers can be joined to take advantage of their combined power.
Every laser cartridge we produce is factory pre-aligned for easy integration into any of our laser platforms. This laser modularity delivers ultimate flexibility when configuring your laser system.
Our most versatile ILS platform is designed to accommodate laser processing of continuous materials, such as long sheet goods or rolled materials. Dual side-opening doors allow side loading of materials and the patented detachable, class 4 safety module allows the laser system to be converted from a fully enclosed (Class 1) laser device to an open (Class 4) laser device.
Our exclusive line of patented CO2 Free-Space Gas Slab Lasers is designed specifically for the needs of laser cutting, engraving, graphic imaging and marking applications. Our lasers produce an excellent quality beam with even power distribution and good near and far field characteristics.
Universal Laser Systems has developed the world’s most advanced, powerful and flexible laser print driver. Laser Interface+ is a materials-based print driver that gives you the choice of automatic or manual control over power, speed, pulses per inch and other system settings.
Universal’s laser platforms offer six different sizes of work area to choose from, so you’re sure to find one that fits your needs. Platforms with larger work areas offer greater application flexibility, while platforms with smaller work areas are generally more compact.
This flexibility allows the user to painlessly switch between fiber marking and CO2 marking and cutting applications, all in one machine.
