Tackle Twill

Tackle Twill Overview

Tackle twill is a form of appliqué that is commonly used in the garment industry. In addition to a single-layer process, multiple layers of tackle twill can be stacked to provide a 3-D effect. Tackle twill is made from nylon or polyester (PET) woven fibers with an adhesive backing. Tackle twill readily absorbs the energy from both the 9.3 and 10.6 micron CO2 lasers. The material that is directly in the path of the laser beam is rapidly vaporized creating a clean, smooth cut.
